A unique aspect of Dr. David Valiente’s art work is the combination of different mediums into the same piece. He uses one of several different types of stone (Alabaster, Florida Keystone, Florida Oolite, Marvel, Granite, Crystal) along with bronze in order to make his sculptures. His reflections on the bronze casting process, "I fully enjoy being involved in the whole long and complex process of creating a bronze sculpture piece from start to finish. Although is hard work, is very gratifying to experience the whole process of designing the piece, sculpting in wax, mold making, spruing, investment and the pour of the bronze, along with chasing and patina. It doesn't get better then that.”
